If this is the factory system, it uses the car's horn, not a separate siren.

I've just bought a 2001 Neon 2.0 LX Auto and my alarm is faulty. It goes off at random and I want to disconnect it so I can still lock my car. I assume you Moola's car is the same model? Mine definitely has a separate siren! Please can you tell me where they are fitted to the car?

If you believe there's a separate siren you must have found it so you know where it is. The factory systems use the horn. If there is an additional siren, that is part of an aftermarket alarm system and those are custom installations and there is no way anyone other than you is going to know how it's installed or where the parts were mounted. You'll have to follow the wires to the components.
