vacuum hose diagram?

Do you see the vacuum port on either of the pictures I attached? If so, can you describe its location for me? Check out the images (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Yes I do see it I circled it on the pic with paint. I also see that it has no hose or line attached to it...... the thing is when you block off that nipple the motor dies down a lot and then eventually stalls out. I also know there is on near the front drivers side that looks like it has a OE Cap on it.... every picture that I have looked at it has shown one with a hose( the one that is capped off on my van) and the other one ( that is not capped off ) has a line going to it.... severely confused....

Ok, some of these engines did use a vacuum hose at that fitting. If there is one, it will be located on the back side of the engine near the 3 ignition coils. It will have a 90` rubber elbow on the end of it. It will be a small diameter hard plastic line.
If you don't see one of these lines, place a rubber cap over the port. Either way, it should not cause the vehicle to stall out. You may need to clean the inside of the throttle body to remove any carbon deposits to give the vehicle the proper airflow.

The nipple to the front of the manifold is already capped..... so I am to cap both of them? the motor stalls out when the on to the rear is blocked off with your finger. That is why I thought something went to it but it is a 04 and none of the manuals show what I need it to.

yes, cap both vacuum ports.

There is a black hose that plugs into the accordion air intake duct and routes to the rear of the engine. I cannot see where it plugs in (in fact, mine has unplugged and I cannot find where it goes :-( ). Any idea what this thing is?

It's called a PCV tube it is circled in red. not sure why it's called that.. because the PCV is on a totally different line. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

This line connects to the rear valve cover and pulls vapor off the engine and routes it to the air inlet. It is called the breather tube and not the PCV tube. I attached the info for this tube. Let us know if you need more info and we can provide it.

To what does the 1/8 plastic vacuum tube coming from the front left of the intake plenum attach to?

There's lots of plastic vacuum hoses. There's a diagram on the emissions sticker under the hood. You can splice the break with a piece of rubber vacuum hose or you can run a new rubber hose all the way to that component.

Ok The hose on the red circled area is cut off on my van, i need to know where it goes so that i can hook it up. I tried to get my van to pass inspection but it threw a bunch of emissions codes and i suspect this to be a part of it.

That hose circled in red is just a breather from the rear valve cover, that directs crankcase vapors back to the convoluted rubber air inlet tube. What are the emissions codes that it set?

had it re- tested the only code up iss P0410 Secondary Air Injection System.. Would that tube cause that? if not then what?

No, that tube would not cause that. Possibilities for that code would include a faulty air pump or control circuit, perhaps a faulty vacuum control solenoid, or a leak in the system. Usually how that code is determined, is when the AIR pump is turned on, the system looks for changes in the oxygen sensor reading. If there are no significant changes observed, then the SAIR system is considered inoperative for some reason, and that code sets. That is kind of a nutshell description of the operation. I will attach the code chart for your reference, as well as the schematic. The chart references the use of a scan tool, which you may not have access to. If you know your way around a test light, some jumper wires, a schematic, and an electrical knowledge of a 12 volt DC system, You should be able to isolate a concern. I would start first with checking the fuses, and determining if the air pump can turn on.

Well if the air pump is on the driver side of van under fender its not even there, i see a rubber hose and a plug but no pump..

ok, i went to junk yard and put in a air pump... is it supposed to run all the time? because it hasnt turned on yet, everytime i touch it while its running i dont feel it running. i checked the fuse and its fine.

As it states up in the trouble code information, the air pump runs at start up, to lower tailpipe emissions at that time. Has the code been cleared, if so, has it returned?

all i did was undo the battery install it and hook battery back up and fans not on when i start it, could it the relay? and if so where is it, somewhere i read that its behind driver marker light and i dont see it there..

well i replaced the relay... but the air pump was on for a min then turned off... but i took it to advance auto and they said no codes have came up.

I would continue to roll with it at this point. Try the emissions test as soon as you feel comfortable with it.
