I recently turned my truck on this morning and the engine light poped up i went and checked for codes at auto zone and the P0455 code popped up and it gave me 4 options on the receipt not sure were to start or what to do.

P0455 - Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)

This is the code that everyone associates with a loose gas cap, but there are a lot of other possibilities. Start with a visual examination of the hoses and clamps. If you don't see anything obvious, your mechanic will use a smoke machine to inject a white, non-toxic smoke at 2 psi, then watch where it sneaks out.
