I have a 04 Z71 with 5.3l what would have to be done to install long block engine. Basically going from short block to long block.

along block has most parts including cylinder head and short blocks don't have heads

So will a long block fit in my truck. Just the cylinder heads is only difference? Will I need to change manifolds?

if the one you are putting in is a 5.3L and you h ave a 5.3L in it then everything from the old engine should work.
