2004 Chevrolet Silverado keeps turning off at stops.

My truck wouldnt start so i tried giving it a jump start but failed.out of nowere it turned on again.when i drove away it kept turning off when i came to stops.what canit be?

When you jumped it, was the battery weak? Have you checked the battery connections, the battery output, the alternator output...? Is the vehicle starting normally now?
