I took my car in to get the muffler changed. They did the muffler and showed me a hole in my resonator that was a small hole. However now my car is louder than it was before I brought it to them and of course it costs me another 129 to get that replaced. Is it possible to avoid a full replacement and get that hold patched?
Any information offered would be so greatly appreciated.

besides if the hole is on the back of resonator it lmay be for water drainage. your car may be louder due to type of muffler installed. it may not have as many baffles in it.

It is towards the back of the resonator. The loudness of my car is coming from under the car where the hole is. The muffler area is now quieter after the replacement.

Thanks for your answer. Just needed to know if I could avoid the 129.00
