Same problem as 100's of other Malibu Maxx owners, Power steering light on the dic (computer). Power steering goes out, shakes at idle when it's on, you can restart car n sometimes get it back on, and its hard to steer the steering goes out. I have heard the power steering column, torque postion sensor, or computer module. I thought maybe the rack in pinion complete set maybe tie rods were loose that why It shakes back in forth at idle.
Does anyone know how I can repair this myself? Where to look, what to watch out for, what to replace and why?
