I have a 2004 Chcevrolet Malibu Maxx LS(Hatchback) for about a year and it has been in the shop about seven times and about to go in again. My power steering is janky, like I will be turning one way and the car won' t go the way i'm turning until I pull the steering wheel farther and then the car will***** to the side that I I want it to go. Under my car sounds rikity when I stop and when I pull off. I just bought really good used tires about two months ago and they were fine until I took my car to the shop a month after I got them. I know it is something with my front end because along with the rikity sound when I am driving there is a clicking sound that ribrates the steering wheel. I have put alot of money into this car and everyone acts like they dont know what is wrong, although the symptoms of the car are bluntly present. Any suggestions?

As far as the steering goes you could have power steering pump or rack and pion issue without a pressure flow test on the power steering pump cant say for sure.So this noise you hear while driving are you braking also to make this noise and the steering wheel to vibrate?

I put a new rack and pinion in the car, and I know its "electric ad all so i cant put any fluid or anything in it.(I say that because sometimes my power steering just goes out sometimes while i'm driving)and the rikity noise is when i am breaking and the clicking noise appears when i start driving. The clicking noise is what makes my steering wheel vibrate.

I didnt not realize you had electric steering if it goes out suddenly and is very hard to steer that very well could be a bad steering motor.I would have the power steering control module scanned for codes to see where that leads. If your getting the noise while braking i would do a full brake inspection. Also the clicking noise i would inspect the axle joint boots for tears leaking grease etc and noise.
