connecting the engine to the transmisson

Are you sure the torque converter is fitting properly into the front pump?

the front of the torque converter is mounted to the fly wheel and the back is suppose to fit into a fitted sleeve that is running into the drive shaft!

where the inspection plug is there is another plug behind it a few inches toward the center and smaller. Is it used to line up the torque converter and transmission shaft?

i got it, i think, we took the torque converter off the fly when, dropped it in the tranny and dropped the engine back in, got the tranny housing all bolted up flush now to get the other 2 bolts in to hold the torque converter in place with the fly wheel. Trying to turn the crank shaft is a pain, even with a cheater bar! Any Ideas? And yes its in neutral!

That is the best you can do is from the crank to turn it. Just han in there and you'll get it.

I got a mechanic who felt bad for me to come over last night and in 6 hours got the torque converter done, got the starter on, ac compressor, radiator, power steering pump, alternator and air intake manifold all back on, Oh yeah and all the wiring! I am a super broke, single father who is also jobless living with my father and scrapped up all the money i had which was 15 bucks and gave it to the mechanic who is a mutual friend. I just thank god for blessings like that. Thx joe, i'll keep u posted.
