Pitch changes with speed but not related to automatic transmission.Shift changes good, fluid fine. Sounds like driveshaft?..universal?.
Noise started last Saturday. Sounded like a hum at about 30Km/hr that changed pitch as speed increased. Braking had no effect, other than slowing the vehicle. No noises at idle or when revving engine. Been driving 40 years and never heard anything like it.
Doesn't appear to affect the operation of the vehicle but this is a warning noise. Believe it may be a universal joint but know little about front wheel drive set up.
