2004 Cadillac Escalade Water Pump

I noticed that the reservoir has been missing water. I checked for leaks every where and noticed some residue under the front of engine on tire rods. Nothing else is wet. Its not over heating at this point. How can i tell if its the water pump?

When the pump goes bad, it will leak from a weep hole located behind the pulley. Also, most times a pump bearing will make noise. Make sure there is no white smoke from the exhaust which could indicate a bad head gasket. Also, make sure the coolant isn't mixing with the engine oil.
