2004 Buick Ranier car seems to cut out

When idling the car runs smooth. But once i start driving it i have to keep the rpms up over 2000 or the car starts cutting out and lugging down like it is starving for fuel. I have already changed fuel filter. And if i go to climb a hill. A really have to get on it or it really lugs down

scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it.

auto parts will normally scan your engine for free just have to take it there

I'd say fuel pressure but those have a few other ting that can cause that. scanning for codes and fuel pressure check will tell you a lot.

you only test it with key on not engine running should be 50-57 psi and should not drop 5psi for one minute

sorry, this has no connection for fuel rail so you will need an adapter which i'm not sure is commercially available at auto parts. so it may take a mechanic to do it.
