starter or what BMW X#

have a bmw x3 this morn it won't start,did this before and i cleaned the battery cables,started right up,today i did same but still won't start,do u know where starter is or is there a fuse/clilernord(spelling) to say battery is hot cables clean now what?

What is it doing, is the battery old and in need of replacement? Is it dead or does it click?

battery is new,no there is no click,just a hummmm when you turn key over,horn blows lights are bright,thinking some kind of switch or starter

The car may not be recognizing the key. This might require a scan for faults in the EWS control. Has your BMW technician been involved yet?
