enter your question...When car is cold it idles fine but when you are between 2k and 3k the rpm goes up and down....does not do this at greater rpm or higher speeds or when warmed up

The engine management system has certain parameters that are quite strict. The seeming that occurs for me on your car may have to do with the oil vapor separation system, and to help narrow down the possibilities a question, is the check engine light on all the time?
