I have a 2004 acura tl (auto tran) that shudders between first and second gear (around 2000 rpm) at slow speeds. it does not do it if you are accelerating through the gears

Based on your description, it sounds like the 1 - 2 shift solenoid is causing the problem. If you are light on the throttle, it is questioning the shift before actually doing it. Have that checked.
