I just replaced the rear wheel bearing assembly on my AWD matrix. Three days later, it began making a grinding or rubbing noise, so jacked it up, and could get the tire to wiggle top to bottom - so the bearing assembly failed. My question - why would this assembly go bad so fast? did I do something wrong the first time? It wasnt a cheap part - was a timken from partsgeek. How do I tell if the jackshaft is bad, and could a bad jack shaft ruin its bearing that fast?
