timing gear to camshaft

does the cam gears only go on one way or need to know which way they are supposed to be put on according dowel to grove on gears exhaust and intake cams the engine was already taken apart someone that bailed on job and left with there money so Im trying to help

Yes the cam gears are interchangeable and you can put them upside down etc.i posted some information on it.
