2003 Vue Oil Usage

Okay, I have a 2003 Saturn Vue 4 cy AWD. I am not leaking oil nor am I burning oil but in the last three weeks I lost oil somewhere somehow to the point that now there is no oil in the truck at all. What could be the issue?

Are you sure you were out of oil and it was just not reading on the oil stick?When you get two or more quarts low it won't read on the stick.So why do you think you aren't burning the oil?Because you can't see any blue smoke out the tail pipe?If that's your feeling then you can be totally wrong you can burn a good amount of oil without seeing any smoke out the tail pipe.My saturn burn's a lot of oil and i never really see any blue smoke.

My car is also kind of doing this. It doesnt leak oil, and no burning oil smell. But the other day I heard the engine making a knocking sound so my husband checked the oil to find no oil showing up on the stick. Where is the oil going? What should we do? Please help thank you

What year make etc and engine do you have?If its not leaking it its burning it.

How much oil are you burning in a 2,000 mile period?Have you had the vue since it was new?How often do you change the oil?
