Hood stuck.

2003 Saturn Ion 1. The hood latch cable came loose under the hood, not at the handle. Can I open the hood without causing damage? Should I take it to the dealer?

You need to bring it in or if you want do it yourself you practically have to remove the front part to get to the latch to manually open it-time consuming I recommend bring it in-
