lost transmitter and original key

Dealer made duplicate key from spare key. Remote says gm/lear 25695955 part 2 . duplicate key missing small tag on key. Do I replace the transmitter remote for part 1? or am i missing the small tag that was on the orignial key? Please advise. Can't afford to make mistakes as sr citizen.

key fobs are avialable allover for this, they just have to be mated to the car. if the dealer made a new key it should work fine. the small tag is only for dealer/manufacturer to make key.

Thanks, so what your saying it does not make a difference if I order 1 or 2 for the fob? I went to an auto alarm store and they had the fob, but said they couldnt get it to program, and I should go to dealer.

yes the dealer will have to program it for you...unless it's not compatible with your system.
