My reverse lights don't come on when I shift into reverse.
It is a manual trans. I bought the car used and discovered the problem after. When I removed the shift boot and console and I could see a cable not connected to anything. I figured out where the cable clips on but my problem is is that I don't know how it goes together properly or if I have all the prices even. The only way I can see it going together doesn't work because when I pull the lever into reverse, it causes it to push the cable rather than pull it.
I have searched high and low and can't find any answers.
