Which transmission does my truck have?

Truck listed above is an SC King Cab 2WD M/T have S5W71C RWD Manual Transmission or FS5R30A RWD Manual Transmission? Also, what Transmission fluid does it use and capacity? How do you check it and/or add it?

Hello,

To find out what transmission your specific vehicle came from the factory, you will have to look at the transmission tag. It is located on the top of the transmission (see diagram for the location).
Other option would be to call your local dealer and provide them with your VIN.
They will be able to tell you the transmission number.

The recommended fluid is 75W-85 GL5 gear oil. Capacity is 3 quarts.

There is a check plug on the side of the transmission case on the passenger side.t is a 10mm Allen head plug. You will have to take that off to check the level. when full the fluid should be level with, the opening of the plug or just little below it.

It's a 4 cylinder, does that matter? Because the second image says V6.

See attached. It appears that for the 2.4L engine setup it uses 2.15 quarts of fluid. Same 75W-85 weight.
