Fan starts when I start car but after driving for 3-4 minutes it stops and may start again after 15-20 minutes but in cold weather itis very inconvenient

When it stops, give the blower housing under the glove box some banging with your hands and if it starts up, the blower fan motor is failing and has to to be replaced to rectify.
