all of the sudden when i shift into gear with the automatic transmission the car will not move neither forward or reverse. also the car be pushed forward or back while the shifter is in park. i m thinking and hoping a linkage must have come undone and can simply be reconnected.

if so is it some easily seen and can be gotten to by me a non mech. novice?
