.2003 Mazda Protege ES 2 Ltr. My son said, last night the car would not accelerate over 50 kilo per hour even though the RPM would increase. Also since last night there is a funny smell coming from the left side engine where the belts are? Today the car accelerates but the smell comes and goes. Took it too the garage, they checked transmission fluid...o.k. he tried the car...o.k... so now what could it be?
