when i start my truck it will not go in to gear. when i turn the truck off it will go in to gear

You have some sort of problem with the cluctch not disengaging. You either have;
Air in the system
A bad slave cylinder
A bad master cylinder
Check the level of the clutch master cylinder first and see if you can find any leaks in the system.
