2003 Kia Spectra wont stay charged

replaced alternator, held charge 1 day, then replaced battery, held charge for 2 days, what could be keeping alternator & battery from holding charge, don't know if there could be a short somewhere or what could cause this

Have the alternator checked to confirm it is producing power. Then, using our method under the DIY section on our home page, check to see if the power is getting from the alt to the battery. If it isn't, suspect a bad fuseable link.
