2003 Kia Optima Car shakes.

Hi guys or gals. Ok so I noticed last week that my car shakes in gear. When its parked and idling, it's smooth. When I shift to reverse, it starts to shake a little. I shift to neutral, it goes back to normal and is smooth. I shift to drive and it starts shaking kind of a lot. I'm not sure what's going on. I just did a timing belt and balance shaft belt on it 2 days ago and noticed whoever did the last timing belt out the balance shaft belt on wrong so I automatically assumed that's what was causing the shaking. The balance shaft was set properly along with the timing. Turned the car on and the shaking was still there. The car drives perfectly smooth. Only at idle. Idle is in between the 1000 RPM and the small dash under it. Also just noticed it actually starts to shake if the AC is on even if its in park or neutral. Please help. The engine size is a 2.4L automatic.

So the engine runs smooth at idle in gear you just have a vibration?

Sorry if I worded anything weird. The car runs smooth while driving in any car. At idle in gear is when the whole car starts to shake. If I hit a little gas, it smooths out. Pretty much everything inside the car starts to vibrate. The steering wheel, my rear view mirror, I can feel it coming into my foot from the brake pedal and my body itself vibrates.

The motor mount right above the timing cover was also replaced recently.

Alright here's what am trying to get at is your engine running rough?Or are we just dealing with a vibration?

Oh ok. I apologize. The engine itself is running fine from what I can tell. Drives perfectly fine and whatnot. I guess it would be just a strong vibration issue.

Alright now we are getting somewhere I would start by checking all the engine and transmission mounts for being torn colasped loose etc.That's the most common reason I have seen for stuff like that. Another thing you can try is start the car put it in drive have someone stand to the side of the car.Then have one foot on the brake and the other giving it has and then off.Watching for movement in the engine while doing this.
