I just changed the oil on my Jeep liberty its a 2003 sport edition with a 3.7 v6. Wen i took off the oil cap i noticed a white color my first thought was the head gasket but the was no discoloration in the oil i drained and the vehicle is not over heating, since we bought it 2 years ago the temp gauge has stayed right in the middle of hot and cold. It has also been very cold here lately negative temps at night and single digits during the day. Before i tear into it and do the head gasket i got to get some more opinons thanks

That's condensation from short trip driving. If you're not losing coolant you can leave the head gaskets alone.
