Yesterday I armed my alarm as normal after driving and 10 minutes later the horn was blaring constantly. When I checked on the car, nothing was out of the ordinary and the alarm shut off with the FOB. I rearmed the car and again about 10-15 minutes later, the horn was going off again. This time however, I had to pull the horn relay out to get the horn to shut off. Again, I checked the car for anything out of the ordinary as well as the possible stray cat.....nothing.
I reinserted the relay and the horn stayed off. This time, I only locked the car (one click on the FOB) and the car was fine all night. I drove to work the Next day and locked the car again with only one click of the FOB. About an hour later, the horn was sounding constantly. Now however, any time I try to put a relay back into the slot, the horn goes off.
I have tried a different relay and the issue persists. I have ensured that the doors are all shut and there are no lights on in the car or trunk when closed. I also know that no indicators are displaying when driving that would indicate a bad latch or sensor. I also checked voltage disconnected from the horn and I am getting constant voltage on one of the horn wires (this may be normal?).
At this point I am at a loss without throwing parts at the vehicle. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
