ac blower switch bad but also blows fuse.

thats not the real way of testing as you are using a heavier gauge wire to test. fuses are rated for a specific wire size. it needs to be tested all hooked up and by taking ohm readings and voltage readings.

be carefull, when the wires heat up, there is too much of a draw in that circuit.

I understand that.with everything hooked up it blows the fuse when I turn on the ac.the fan Will work if I press on the switch real hard.the fan works even with the fuse blown.I wonder if the fuse controls the compressor.there is a relay and resister on the fan.could one of these be part of my problem.at first I thought it was bad blower motor,then found it was good and switch bad.while letting it run it wouldn't blow cold air and found blown fuse.when I went to unplug my jumper wire(same size as factory wiring) it was hot.thanks

i see what you are trying to do, but by jumping it you are overloading the circuit possibly causing further damage.

i would replace the switch as you said

the blower resistor is a common failure as well but you must do voltage checks to confirm.

the ac fuse, you need to check for voltage at the compressor with the plug undone. then you measure resistence of the ac clutch to see if the compressor is at fault.

sounds like you have multiple issues and you need to understand the circuit and how it works. electricity is tough to figure out without the everyday knowledge needed to repair these systems
