Will not accelerate when I give it the gas

It does this randomly, will hesitate at very slow speed or from a stop when I push the gas it slows down it started with the check engine light, codes came up EVAP canister, gas cap, but neither I guess was found to be the problem, I just got it back from third garage after they replaced the transmission, 7 miles after driving it light came back on and is hesitating again. Same codes showing. ug!

I sounds like there might be a few issues causing your car trouble. First thing that needs to be done is determine what exact fault codes are stored in your cars computer. If you don't have access to a scanner or code reader most auto parts sores have a tool loaner program and can rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved for checking codes.:

The second thing I suggest checking is the fuel pressure. You might have a weak or failing fuel pump that is not providing sufficient fuel pressure. If you don't have access to a fuel pressure tester you can rent one as well. Here is another tutorial showing how to test fuel pressure:
