2003 GMC Savana Horn melted and stuck

Vans horn got stuck after I a hit a bump and stayed on for about 2mins straight I tried smacking the horn on the steering wheel didn't do anytning it went off when I hit another big bump literally two mins later. Parked the car when I got to the store something was burning smelled horrible!!! Popped the hood felt the horn it was hot !! Unplugged the wire going into the horn, still smells horrible like melted plastic

Anyone know what happened and what I should do thanks

Do you have a multi meter so we can do some testing so we can see why the horn stayed on?

Have u ever heard of something like this happening before ? I unplugged the horn is it safe to drive , I guess I need to find out if power is still going thru that wire right ?

I have seen the horns stay on never melt never had someone let it go off for that long.If the horn is Unplugged you should be fine.See if the dark green wire to the horn has power if it does that's why the horn stayed on.If it does see if the horn relay is the same as any of the other relays in the fuse box? If so swap it with one of the other ones and see if the dark green wire to the horn still has power.Lets start there.

Also remove the horn relay if the dark green wire has power to the horn and see if terminals c3 and c2 has a ground going to it? If so most likely there is a issue with the horn button.
