2003 GMC C1500 instrument panel dic problem

instrument panel dic I sent my instrument panel off and had it rebuilt-- gauges etc- it was working erratically from what I have seem is a common problem with these trucks, when I got it back for the second time, first time still had the problem, now second time I still have the problem, my question is could it be something else, maybe the computer, electrical short, etc. while driving gauges will all go off you will hear chimes as when you first go to crank the truck self check and start working again. it will do this over and over and over etc.
