It started with the interior lights coming on while I was driving. One day sitting in the driveway, the headlights started flashing by themselves and the horn started blowing. After that, while driving, the gauges went haywire, the tach never started working again, the others re intermittent. Now, the van will start but nothing inside will work, no heat/AC, no radio, no turn signals, no headlights, no hazards, no power locks/windows, no gauges. My local mechanic has had the van for a week and he has no idea.

How good are you with electronics and electrical circuitry? Do you have electronics diagnostics tools such as a meter and test light?

I'm not very good with them. I know my Dad has a test light and volt meter.

Let's start as easy as we can. Get the mechanic to scan for all codes, not just hard codes. We need to see what the Body Control Module is doing.

We thought we had issue solved. The mechanic installed a new battery, I didn't know why that would have worked, but it did. For a week. Back to the same issue. Body control module seemed to be ok.
