Once my cars engine is no longer warm it makes a loud metallic knocking sound sometimes the engine shakes as well it's most noticeable when it has been sitting all night. My check engine light was on for a day but then went off I took it to get the codes ran some errors with the cam shaft registered. I have replaced the cam shaft sensor the problem seemed to get better but the problem is still present I'm thinking it's the cam syncronizer but I want a second opinion before I replace it

Can you post the codes that were set, and can you do an oil pressure test with a mechanical gauge, I would like to know the oil pressure cold idle and hot idle and hot @ 1500RPM.

I included pictures of all the codes that were ran. I'm also not quite sure how to test the oil pressure.

Check oil pressure with a mechanical oil gauge screwed into the port where the oil pressure sender is located, removed sensed and screw in gauge.

Unfortunately I'm a college student living on campus so I'm not able to test it or have anyone test it for me. The car runs fine after it's been started for a while. It always starts right up it'll make the noise it always does it will idle high for maybe a minute and then it's fine? Could you give me your opinion with the information I have given you?

Very hard to say, but I would make sure that the oil filter fitted has an anti bleed back valve fitted, you my have the oil filter draining back causing the low oil pressure and knock until pressure is up again.
