noise on ford mondeo idle

hello i have a ford mondeo 2l tdci on idle it has a rattle, sounds like a loose cover but when i give it a little acceleration (very small amount ) and hold it the noise goes any ideas ? is it possible to ajust the idle to rev a little higher ? many thanks chris

from the engine but if i give it a tiny tiny bit of rev it goes away is it possible to ajust the idle ? sorry im not very helpful im know very little about how cars work

Yes, you can adjust the idle speed by adjusting the throttle speed screw at the throttle body-my problem here I don't the information for your vehicle and in addition the computer adjusts the idle speed automatically-
