2003 Ford F-150 fuel pump fuse blows?

After replacing the fuel pump, my truck will run for a 2 to 3 weeks but will die on me cause by a blown fuse under the hood. What is causing this problem.

The fuse blows because the circuit is being overloaded so first it depends which fuse it is and what it powers. It could be something in the fuel pump circuit causing it or they may be other components in the circuit that are being powered by that fuse that you are not aware of yet. Overloads can be very difficult to isolate sometimes.

You need to change out the fuel pump relay and if the problem continues you have a defective fuel pump or you pinched the wiring when you reinstalled the fuel tank. Here is the location of the pump relay. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
