Do you know how to fix my trunk's locking system?

I have a 2003 Ford Escape and my trunk won't lock. When I press the lock button all the door are locked but the trunk will stay unlocked. I don't know what to do.

I assume you mean the liftgate since SUVs don't have trunks. It's probably a bad lock actuator but it would need to be tested.
