While driving on the highway going about 60 mph It delays shifting to the next gear and feels like it slips and then a noise like a clunk. It always seems to be the worst going up hill or pulling a trailor. (Always when the truck has a load on the drive train.) I dont know what it could be please help.

Thank you

It sounds like a problem with the shift solenoids. They will let the clutches slip after a while if they do not shift positively or can cause damage under a hard shift.
The best thing to do is to change the fluid and filter and see if that helps. Otherwise, you may need to find out which solenoid is bad, replace it and hope no damage was done that would warrant a rebuild.
