power steering frustration

I recently (two weeks ago)changed out my [power steering pump as i was told thats what was causing the power steering squeal when the wheel was turned.and while the van was rolling down the road even..still there although not quite as to ensure no air in it. We turned the wheel stop to stop about ten times someone suggested changing the resevoir out and flush the fluid out. i can see this turning into a money dump in a hurry. any suggestions? it is a 2003 town and country fwd 3.8 ltr 6cyl. (lxi) Thanks

did you put a new serp belt on it? they can ook ok but be worn out in the grooves. also is your belt tensioner working ok,keeping the belt tight enough?

Power steering pump is not the cause of the noise
the cause is lack of fluid flow from the fill bottle to the pump
need to clean the screen inside the fill bottle or replace the plastic fill bottle
and bleed system

Also, make sure you use ATF+4 fluid. If you have just put regular powersteering fluid in your reservoir, this will make it whine, almost grinding noises. If so, suck out all the fluid you can and replace with ATF+4 (automatic transmission fluid). This fixed my whine immediately!
