Need to know what I should do to disconnect my a/c compressor. Compressor went out and do not want to spend the money to fix. Going old school driving the car without a/c. Anyway I had the mechanic disconnect it on the passenger side underneath the hood and the car started to act up. Car would shift hard and speedometer would start to go up when at a stop.
I took it back and he reconnected it and the car seems to shift fine and speedometer seems to be working fine. So with that in mind, I wanted to know what is the best way to disconnect compressor without impacting other things on my car. I am a novice mechanic so I would like to work on it myself. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you
