Can i get a new boot for my fuel pressure regulator line that runs to the resonator?

i have a 2003 chevy trailblazer ls 2.4 liter and the boot that connects the fuel pressure regulator line to the resonator on top of the engine split open, now can i switch that out with another used boot from a junk vehicle or a new one, i was told i actually need to purchase a new regulator with a line and boot

You would probably have to go to a dealership to have any chance of getting it as a seperate part. Otherwise it will come with a regulator.

So then why wouldn't the autoshop I brought the truck to not switch the line and boot along with the regulator they switched out

I did not understand that you had it just witched out. They should have switched them out. It probably came with the new part, but that is not for sure. Usually parts like that do come with a larger part since that is the only way to get them without going to the dealership and the dealership may not even offer them seperately. It is hard to say.
Try going to www.rockauto.com or www.usautopartswarehouse.com and look up the part and see what it comes with.
