Strange Leak

2003 CHEVROLET SUBURBAN

2003 suburban 4wd has a coolant leak when the heater is running. My temperature is a rock steady 205-210 degrees and no other leaks are visible from the underside of the car. I have no oil in coolant and vice versa. There is a major static leak after the car is shutdown and left to sit.

Have you checked the heater core?

No I have not. It seems to be coming from the front of the motor, I am leaning towards a possible crack in the pump or crack in one of the lines coming off the water pump. Does that make any sense? Thanks for th advice by the way.

If it is from the front, check the weep hole on the water pump. Also, check along the intake.

Found it! Leaking statically from behind the pulley! looks to be where the input shaft enters the water pump. Doesn't drip at all when the motor is running only when shut down. Well I guess I know what I am doing tomorrow! Yeah me! THanks for your help.
