trouble shooting P1500 starter signal circuit.

yes the starter does crank but machine do not start in cold and rainy weather. do you think 800cc, engine :F8CV has speed sensor?

As long as the engine uses fuel injection system, yes, you should have a speed sensor but they do not cause non starting situations.

Reconfirm the trouble code.

Since problem is temperature related, I would suspect the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor to be a more likely cause of the problem.

ECT is for telling the engine computer the operating temperature and this would allow the computer to control the injectors opening time to enrich or lean out the mixture. A faulty sensor would confuse the computer and might result in over rich condition which wuld flood and not allow engine to start.

This part is different from the temperature sending unit, which is for the dash indicator.

Since the problem is non starting intermittently, it should be electrical.
