I have a 2003 Chev Monte Carlo. It failed to crank periodically and we would put it in neutral to start it. Then it got to where it would stall and even placing it in neutral would not crank. I have replaced the starter which was dragging. I have replaced the ignition switch and drove it for one day with no problem, starting it in park. The next day when I went to leave, it started in park but while sitting in the drive in park it died. I tried to start it and it wouldn't start in park but did start in neutral. I have not driven it for fear it will stall and I will have problems. I have gone out and started it a few times sometimes in park, sometimes in neutral, sometimes it will not crank. I have been told that it could be the neutral safety switch but that the neutral safety switch would not cause it to stall. Is this correct? I don't want to just keep replacing parts on it. Thanks for your advice.
