engine pop

I just got my 03 Impala back from the shop. They removed carbon deposits from my engine and replaced a maf meter sensor. Two hours later after coming out of a store I attempted to start the engine and a pop came from the engine followed by brief smoke. It

Idles real rough, trys to stop when not accelerating. Never done this till I got carbon removed from my engine.
