2003 Chevy Impala Sugar in Gas tank

Sugar, water, and some blue stuff was put in my gas tank. Could it have gotten into the motor? When I found out, my car was letting out some clear smoke from the pipe and then it just cut off and would not start again. I have had the fuel pump filter changed and now my motor is making a clicking/ticking noise.

did you run it with that liquid in the tank?

if so it is in the engine sorry to say.

when you say the vehicle clicks, does that mean the vehicle runs or it just clicks and doesnt start?

notice it until after I had crank my car up the morning it happened to let it warm up. After a while that's when my daughter noticed the smoke coming out of the pipe. I cut it off and it would not crank back up. I had it towed to a shop. I have had the fuel pump replaced & filter changed but now it's making a ticking/clicking noise as you drive it and pick up speed the louder it gets. So I took it back to the shop.

the valves are probably fouled or the cylinders gunked up due to the foreign materials in your gas.

i hope its just a matter or running it to clean it up.

get the injectors flushed also.

Alright! Thanks very much. I hope it something that's fixable and did not ruin my motor. My car was in great shape! Only about 70,000 miles on it for a 2003.

ugh, I cant believe there are people who are mean enough to put sugar in a car, that happened to my neighbor not too long ago, soafter driving the car a lil bit with sugar in it the car is basically done for??

not always b ut people usually dont spend the money afterwards and scrap it out, it will cost about 1000 maybe to get everything up and running again.

by time the fuel lines are flushed, filters changed.
injectors cleaned thats a hefty bill right there. that is if the vehicle wasnt run for a long time like that and running lean causing excessive heat and probably destroying the plugs maybe scoring up cylinders and plugging up oil galleries.

The sugar will not dissolve in gasoline. If the fuel strainer is good enough and the sugar crystals not too fine, it will stay in the tank. If it does get through the system, it can be flushed out. Like Blacktop said, it is expensive!
