I am having two problems with my 03 Astro. I get a check engine light on the dash and at some gas stations I am unable to put more than a gallon of gas into the tank. The engine code tells me that there is a problem with the fuel system venting. does anyone know what the filter is that needs to be replaced or how to determine which filter needs replacement. there is a vaccum line on the fuel tank that lets off fuel vapor so it doesnt build up in the tank, it vents off the fuel vapors so you can fill the car and so it doesnt pollute the air. from the tank it goes to the Carbon cansister via vaccum line and is resting there untill the car is started of which then it burns off the vapors. if that line is plugged up or kinked the vapors will not release.

my check engine light came on what should i do?

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis,finding out what's going on.

i changed the o2 sensors, how does the engine light reset?

you have to reset it with a scanner. changing O2 sensors necessarily will not release the light. most auto parts store check these for free tosee whatthe problem is.

my check engine light comes on under load at about 50 mph.it comes up misfire #5 cylinder every time. i've given it a tune-up. replaced the injectors. no solution. what else should i check. mechanics here don't know what it is.

Have the coil pack checked. It may be going bad and not providing enough power under a load.
