Hi, I really hope you can help me? I'm having issues with my 2003 Buick Regal car starts fine all the time idles perfect usually around 750-800ish rpm, problem I'm having is once the car gets hot either idling or driving the rpms climb all by themselves goes upto 1500-2000. Nothing will bring them down and usually if I shut car off the restart they will climb higher has went as high as 3000rpm. Here's what I have done so far cleaned throttle body and throttle plate, cleaned idle air control even tried one from another car same motor that was running perfect, also cleaned maf sensor and even tried other one from other vehicle bought and installed gm tps sensor and new gm plug(pig tail) soldered wires and heat shrink. Coolant temp sensor brand new. Not losing any coolant or oil and neither is mixing together. Used throttle body cleaner and even propane to check for vacuum leaks, vacuum lines all connected and no cracks. Only code I got was for tps that's the reason I changed that one. And again the only time the revs climb is when car gets hot. And here's one more really strange thing. Happened twice so far, first time car was idling a little high about 1100 rpm engine was hot plugged in my code reader no codes showed up I hit the erase code button and the rpms jumped to 1700 instantly?? Second time just gotten back from short drive car acted up but after few min idle went to normal plugged in code reader again just to see no codes hit erase and idle shot back up to almost 2000rpm?? I am at a loss of what to try next feeling very frustrated. Sorry for rambling on just didn't want miss any details. Looking forward to hearing from someone and hopefully helping me solve my issues with this car. Thanks Jason
